Everything is stored on the Bitcoin blockchain, so this information is available there.

We will add a colored coin blockchain explorer and also a way to send dividends to shareholders in the Coinprism frontend. The easiest is to wait for this. Otherwise if you are a programmer, you could implement it yourself using the Open Assets protocol as reference: openassets.org.

Hope this makes sense, let us know if it doesn't.

Since one of the main uses of coloredcoins are featured to be stock sharing in the widest sense of the term, a versatile set of tools for dividend distribution system is required. The core developers of coloredcoin should really rack their brain on this issue.

If such a protocol is achievable, like an automated system to distribute dividends in bitcoins to the coloredcoin owners inasmuch as the time they own the coins, it means the future of coloredcoins is the brightest of all!

E simples and elegant way

Example;

the wallet would ask:
How much BTC do your wanna send to your 300 share holders?

you type

300 BTC

How important is this feature to the devs?

A more elegant way would be for the wallet to ask the coin issuer to deposit all the profits, and then to distribute them regarding how much coins is held by whom for how much time.

We've now launched a Colored Coin Blockchain explorer at www.coinprism.info.

Bitcoin Dividends have also been available for a while, you can read more about how to issue them here.
